Committees
Joining a committee is a great way to get involved at Hillel without taking on a huge time commitment. Throughout the year we have four different events we build committees for including:
Heatin’ Up with Hillel
- Hillel’s welcome back to school kick off party in September hosted at Fatsos
- Students will meet once a week for a month to plan the
event
- Committee members have the opportunity to then join sub-committees including
decorations, public relations/advertising, entertainment, etc.
Hillel on the Hill Tailgate
- Hillel’s annual football tailgate in the fall
- Food served includes: hot dogs,
chicken sandwiches, chips, dessert,etc
- Committee members have the
opportunity to join a sub-committee including, marketing/public
relations, decorations/theme, creating new games for the event, etc
Rock Chalk
Shabbat
- Hillel’s largest Shabbat of the year catering to over 500 students,
parents, faculty and alumni
- Students start meeting about a
month and a half ahead of time
- Committee members have the opportunity to join sub-committees
including decorations/centerpieces, public relations/advertising,
services, welcome/registration, speaker/raffles, giveaways, etc
Bagels &
Basketball
- Hillel’s largest basketball watching party in the Spring
- Event is hosted at Abe & Jakes downtown and the Jewish Greek Fraternities
and Sorority add philanthropic components each year
- Committe members have the opportunity to join sub-committees including decorations, public
relations/advertising, entertainment, food, registration, etc.
